I have taught preschool in beautiful, sunny Colorado for nine years.  I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.  After moving to Colorado with my husband in 2001, I attended the University of Northern Colorado and got my Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE).  Before joining Erie Elementary, I taught for six years in private preschools both as an ECSE and an Early Childhood teacher.

I am now enjoying my third year at Erie Elementary.  I have found the people and resources at Erie Elementary and within SVVSD amazing.  I strive to create a supportive environment where students thrive and try new things.  I want students to be curious and love coming to school. I am always so excited to take district and early childhood classes because they help me bring new ideas and excitement into my classroom.  This year we are really exploring nature as well as a love for math.

When I’m not teaching, I love being with my family.  My husband, three children, and I enjoy biking, hiking, camping, and kayaking. In the colder Colorado weather we love playing games, reading, and just being silly.  We love traveling and experiencing different cultures and wildlife we can’t see here in Colorado. I make quilts for fun and am teaching my two oldest to sew and quilt.

Go Tigers!
