Erie Elementary School’s Weekly Newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Another great week in the books! Besides all of the amazing, rigorous, and engaging classroom instruction that I observe every week, we had our Drums Alive happening in the gym for PE and Music, sunflower art in Art class as well as other great opportunities in Library and STEM. Not to mention our youngest, our preschoolers, who also get a rigorous learning experience each and every day with Miss Stefanie and Mrs. Lisa.

All around, Erie Elementary provides an excellent, well rounded experience for our students thank you to our capable and competent staff who care so much for them. Your kids are in great hands! Speaking of this, please let any families that may have incoming kindergartners know that we are hosting our annual Kindergarten Information Night next month. Please see further down in the newsletter for more information.

Stay tuned next week for parent teacher conference sign up! Your teachers will be sending more information on how to sign up. Conferences are Feb 2, 3, and 5th.

Don’t forget we have no school on Monday, January 19th in honor of MLK holiday. We will see you back on Tuesday!

Nominate an Educator for our school’s Educator of the Year!

The St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation is thrilled to announce that the Celebration of Excellence nomination form opens on January 12th! This cherished annual event honors outstanding educators from every St. Vrain school who exemplify excellence in their roles and make extraordinary contributions to student success.

We invite students, parents, volunteers, fellow educators, school staff, community members, and business partners to nominate exceptional educators who inspire, innovate, and shape the future. In order to qualify, nominees must be licensed educators in the State of Colorado and employed at a St. Vrain Valley Schools campus for the current school year. Educators who received their school’s Educator of the Year honor within the past two years are not eligible.

Based on your nominations, one educator from each St. Vrain Valley school will be selected as their school’s Educator of the Year. These honorees will be recognized during the Celebration of Excellence on April 10, 2026, where a district-wide Educator of the Year will also be announced.

Nominations are open January 12 through February 1. Don’t miss this opportunity to recognize the educators who make a lasting impact in our schools and community!

Submit your nomination today: https://stvrainfoundation.org/programs/celebration-of-excellence/

Parking lot help – We need your help. If you do pick up in the afternoon, please make sure that you pull up close to the car in front of you. If you can’t pull in and are going to be blocking the road you will need to go around the block. We need to get cars off County Line Rd. asap so we don’t impede the flow of traffic and can get the buses out. Also, please make sure that you park in a designated parking space if you are using the parking lot. In addition, if you have a child who has an e-bike please talk to them about safety and not speeding through the parking lot. You are appreciated!
