Dear Parents and Guardians,
Today I want to express my deep appreciation for the classified personnel at our school. This includes our front office staff, campus supervisor, custodial staff, crossing guard, bus drivers, kitchen staff, librarian, paraprofessionals and more. These are the roles and the people that keep our school running efficiently, smoothly, and safely for our students. Their work is often done behind the scenes, but does not go unnoticed. Thank you to all of them for their daily support of our students and staff members; we could not do it without them!
Our character value that we are currently focusing on is “Integrity”. We teach our students that integrity means that we do the right thing even when no one is watching and we show honesty while we work and play. Please help reinforce their learning of having integrity this month by using the word at home.
I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend!

Applications are available online or at Nutrition Services, 2929 Clover Basin Dr., Longmont. Learn More

Important iPad Updates for the 2025–2026 School Year
St. Vrain’s District Technology Services has made several updates to student iPads for the upcoming school year to support a focused and secure digital learning environment both at school and at home. One key update is the implementation of a new internet filter, Securly, which adds an extra layer of protection to iPads by blocking certain types of websites.

Please complete the Erie Elementary School Student Support Survey. One for each child, in grades K-5, by Friday, September 5. Link to support survey
Elementary school is about academic excellence. It is also about learning social skills, like making and keeping friends, emotional regulation, self-control, perspective taking and executive functioning skills like time-management and organization. At the elementary level, we are building self-efficacy and sometimes we need a little help.
Counseling support at Erie Elementary School includes whole-class counseling lessons, small group and brief, solution-focused counseling opportunities with the goal of keeping students in the classroom, learning and relating to others appropriately.
This survey will help us assess the needs of grade levels and individual students, so that we can be proactive in our support. Thank you for your participation. Please contact Alissa Chute, School Counselor, with questions.
