Erie Elementary School’s Weekly Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope you had a wonderful week and are able to take some time off with the family next week. As we have been onboarding new office staff, I realized that we have a lot of new families to our school as well. I wanted to share the check out procedure for if you are checking out a student early. If you are already familiar, please read for a good reminder!

Be prepared to show an ID.

1) Arrive about 5-7 minutes early in order for us to get your child up front. We prefer to call students when you arrive as we want them to have as much time in class as possible and sometimes circumstances cause you to arrive later than expected. We would rather them wait in class and continue learning than in the office.

2) Scan the QR Code to sign your child out. Buzz the doorbell.

3) Let us know if the child is returning or if they should bring their things. If returning, scan the child back in upon your return.

4) The child will be called up and meet you outside at the front door.

The safety of our students is our very first priority so thank you for being patient and following these procedures!

Also, as you head into Spring Break, don’t forget about our Spring Break Reading Challenge! Help us get first place! (Please make sure that your student is accurately recording time as we have had to disqualify some students as the time recorded was not possible.) Happy Spring Break!
