Erie Elementary School’s Weekly Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As we are getting into our colder weather, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. The kids love to play in the snow and we really discourage them from doing so unless they have snow pants and snow boots as we don’t want them to be cold, uncomfortable or wet when they get back into class. Please let us know if you need help to get warm weather gear, we definitely have resources and can help!

Don’t forget about our annual food drive! Here is the information from Mrs. Apple:

The Erie Elementary Food Drive will start Monday November 11th-Friday November 15th.  We love to support our Erie Food Bank.

There will be a class competition everyday to see which class brings in the most food items.  The class with the highest number will vote on an extra 15 minutes of recess or extra PE.

Here are some much needed food items that they have requested.

jelly

smaller sizes of sugar, flour and cooking oil

canned fruit – applesauce, pineapple, mandarin oranges, peaches, pears

pancake mix

syrup

small containers of rolled oats or boxed instant oatmeal

pasta – any kind!

spaghetti sauce

canned meat – tuna, chicken, Spam

canned meals – beef stew, chef boyardee, manwich

boxed meals – hamburger helper, tuna helper

instant rice and pasta sides

instant potatoes

granola bars/cereal bars

crackers

Thank you for your support!
