It was so great to see so many of you at the Fall Fest/Trunk or Treat event last Friday. There were so many great costumes and a lot of fun being had. Thanks again to our PTCO for always putting on great events for our school.
We have a lot of items in our lost and found. Please see this video to see if you recognize anything and, if you do, please come to the front office to get it or tell your child to grab it!
Mrs. Apple is organizing our annual food drive! Here is the information:
The Erie Elementary Food Drive will start Monday November 11th-Friday November 15th. We love to support our Erie Food Bank.
There will be a class competition everyday to see which class brings in the most food items. The class with the highest number will vote on an extra 15 minutes of recess or extra PE.
Here are some much needed food items that they have requested.
jelly
smaller sizes of sugar, flour and cooking oil
canned fruit – applesauce, pineapple, mandarin oranges, peaches, pears
pancake mix
syrup
small containers of rolled oats or boxed instant oatmeal
pasta – any kind!
spaghetti sauce
canned meat – tuna, chicken, Spam
canned meals – beef stew, chef boyardee, manwich
boxed meals – hamburger helper, tuna helper
instant rice and pasta sides
instant potatoes
granola bars/cereal bars

In your email, please share a specific holiday your family celebrates, the item(s) you would like to bring or see at the event, and materials you will need from the PTCO. We would like to receive all input on activities by Friday, November 8 to allow for time to purchase any necessary materials.

Upcoming events at EHS:
Erie High School is excited to host our annual Open House on Wednesday, November 6th from 6-8 pm. This is an important opportunity for interested 8th grade students and their families to visit EHS and learn more about the incredible opportunities offered in our school. Mr. Griffin will be presenting at 6pm and 7pm, and students and families will have the chance to tour the school and meet teachers, coaches, and staff members who will share information about the academic, artistic, athletic, and co-curricular opportunities at EHS.

Erie High School is excited to host our Erie Feeder AI Pop Up Event on Thursday, November 7th. This is a great opportunity for SVVSD teachers, staff, and families to learn more about AI and its implications in public education. There will be a keynote presentation at 4:30 pm entitled “AI’s Role in Education” and beginning at 5pm we have several breakout sessions that guests may attend based upon their interests. The topics address AI in a manner that will inform and educate teachers, staff, and families.

Pets on Campus:
Please remember we do not allow animals on school property during school hours. If you bring a pet with you when picking up or dropping off your child it must remain on the public sidewalk or in your vehicle. Thank you for keeping our kids and each other safe and comfortable at school.

Square State Skate is coming back to Erie Elementary! For 3 PE classes 3rd – 5th graders will have an opportunity to learn how to skateboard with Square State Skate teachers. Please fill out the google form so your child can participate starting on October 28th during PE.
