Dear Parents and Guardians,
This was a week full of fun at Erie Elementary! On Wednesday we had our 1st grade Fine Arts night. The kids started with a music performance and then headed to the art room for an art project. On Thursday we had our Kindergarten Information Night. It is always so exciting to meet our potential future Tiger families and share about our amazing school! If you or a family you know is in our preschool program and planning to come here for kindergarten, please fill out the enrollment forms. They do not automatically roll over into a kindergarten class. If you have any questions or need help with enrollment, contact Raquel Freedman in our front office.
We need a little help with our bus lane traffic after school. We are noticing an increase of parents parking in the bus lane. This is only for handicap parking so please do not enter the bus lane to park unless you have a handicap placard or license plate. Remind your children to use the crosswalk in front of the school and not walk between buses. Also, if you are waiting for your student, please make sure your little ones aren’t veering off the sidewalk into the bus lane as they are playing around you. Thank you for your help in keeping our students safe!
Don’t forget, tonight PTCO is hosting their Snowball Dance from 6-8 in the gym. Hope to see you there and have a great weekend!
Current Character Trait Focus
Responsibility: We are responsible when we own our choices and actions.
Over the next five weeks, students will have the opportunity to participate in our “Ripples of Responsibility” Challenge. The goal is for students to learn what responsibility truly looks like — and to notice how it grows outward. Be on the lookout for information from your child’s teacher about a responsibility BINGO board where your child can complete acts of responsibility in five areas: self, school, community, state, and global.
