Welcome to Kindergarten!
I am one of thousands of transplants to the beautiful state of Colorado. I grew up Wichita, Kansas and moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. I received my Bachelor's of Arts and Science in Speech, Language Hearing Sciences in 2009. After graduation I realized that my life long dream of becoming a teacher needed to become a reality. I enrolled at Regis University getting my Master's in Elementary Education in 2010. Since then I have been a Title I teacher and a 1st grade teacher. I am so excited for this year as it is my first year teaching Kindergarten, but have had a lot of experience working in Kindergarten classrooms through my Title I work. As parents I know that it is so hard to let go of your The pureness of kinderarten students warms my heart with their genuine sweetness, eagerness to learn, thoughtfulness, excitement in everything, and the fact that they are still so little in their world knowledge is facinating. I love teaching my students to have a life long love of learning, to be hardworkers, to never give up when the going gets tough, and to make sure to embrace their silliness. Besides just being a teacher, I have a wonderful little family with my husband Zach, our daughter, and our two dogs. Zach and I were lucky enough to have our sweet daugher, Lilian, in March 2015. We love to walk our silly dogs, go swimming, reading, DIY projects, and you can often find me training for a half marathon.
I am looking forward to having so much fun, teaching your sweet little ones, getting to know them throughout this year together, and laughing until our bellies hurt. Please feel free to stop in our classroom at any time or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the year.
