I am a fifth generation educator who is delighted to teach at this wonderful school, Erie Elementary.  I began my teaching career in Seattle, Washington, and have been teaching in the St. Vrain Valley School District since 1999. I have been a Gifted and Talented teacher, as well as a regular classroom teacher.

I strive to make my fourth/fifth grade combo class a warm and welcoming place where children gain standards-based skills,  are challenged at an appropriate level, and can pursue their passions.

In my spare time, I am involved with live theater as an actor, director and sound designer; I am also a published playwright.  I have two children who are both in college, and a plethora of pets, including my famous classroom pet, Larry the turtle.
